The Mountainside Art Club is a place for interested students to hone in on their skills, develop their techniques and portfolios, collaborate with other artists like themselves, create bonds with the community through the arts, and learn how to work together through group projects that will beautify the school and community.
Purpose of the Club: The Mountainside Art Club gives students the opportunity to meet twice per month(6th grade and 7th/8th grade combined) in a more relaxed and informal setting to discuss and work on art. Students may work on projects of their own interest or may use the time as an extension of an enrolled art class.
Who is the Art Club for?: Any students (6th grade and 7th/8th grade combined) who share a common interest in the creation of art. Art Club promotes imagination, creativity, and art production. Students are able to experiment with various art materials in a personalized, open and exploratory manner. Students are working on projects that involve various techniques in drawing and painting, ceramics, various crafts, and mixed media. Art Club provides activities for students of all levels of interests and abilities.
